Hi, I'm a 3D artist/animator...
Here you'll find my portfolio with some of my 3D renders.
I also run a blog where I share some techniques I come across in my everyday workflow. I learned the most from the community and I'd like to return the favor where I can.
I mainly use 3dsmax / Mental Ray for modelling / rendering and Photoshop / After Effects for compositing
Mental Ray is not only capable of rendering amazing photorealistic renders, but also for stylised renders. A popular one is a clay material overlayed by a Wireframe.
In this quicktip I will show you how to achieve this in Mental Ray.
I just finished my Seat Leon project. I started from scratch and used those references to create the model.
All standard poly modeling techniques. The rendering part was done in Iray with the addition of an AO pass in Mental Ray.
Most of the composition was done in Photoshop.
I made great use of the Iray Manager script from Artur Leao to render the Hemisphere environment in Iray. If you don't use it yet, make sure to do so.
